Mike Bickle, founder of the cultish IHOP movement, pointed the finger at those of us who hold the Scriptures in high esteem (those of us who are "biblically orthodox") and claimed that we were like the Pharisees who were responsible for the death of Christ.
Sadly, many Christians today will accept statements like this without biblical challenge. Why? Because most Christians do not know the Scriptures well enough to spot a fake. Without a working knowledge of the Bible, Christians have no means of reliably testing what false teachers claim. The sheep no longer recognize the Shepherd's voice, and so they are led astray by ravenous wolves like Mike Bickle.
